Our story…

Union Powered started 15 years ago when we built custom software for our local Steel union and their thousands of members. We strongly supported the union through Union Powered software with hundreds of grievances and several changes in employer ownership. As a result, they are still using our system today.

Several years later, a large industrial union was looking for a solution, and they were unhappy with what was available on the market. That’s when we decided to develop a full, scalable enterprise system to help Unions. A software that is both standardized to leverage the best processes, but also extremely customizable, as every organization is unique. Our developers, ex-union representatives and management team bring together tremendous experience and knowledge. We strive to understand the union environment and find the best solution for each one.

THE ROLE OF SOFTWARE IN HELPING UNIONS SERVE THEIR MEMBERS:

Unions, and their local executives, have a tough job. Bargaining for wages, work conditions, settling grievances, etc. On the other hand, their job is even harder because the employer has power over the employees, they set the rules, and also have access to expensive legal support.

Consequently, we came out with a question. What can we do to help?  How Union Powered can support the union in its mission to protect and enrich its members?

In conclusion, we simplify their job task automation, increasing productivity, reducing errors, keeping track of information and documents, and providing guidance based on best practices. 

That’s our role, and that’s our mission: To help Unions do their work better and more efficiently at a reasonable cost.
